Susan’s Favorite Women’s Health Blogs

The daylight hours are quickly waning and the approach of the winter months are upon us. This winter season reminds us that rest and rejuvenation are the highlights of this time of year. Darkness spreads a wide cover reminding us to slow down and deepen our self-care. As the season of winter continues, I hope each of you finds some time to read, relax, and recover!

This month’s article is my reminder for some self-care as well. I am taking a small break from writing and instead, I am listing some links to some of my favorite blog post sites – especially great to share with your clients or some of your own self-discovery.

Enjoy the richness some of these sites bring to women’s health and wellness! Drop a comment in the Google chat and let us know your favorites!

Sagely,

Susan

MindbodyGreen

Mindbodygreen’s tagline is “Where soul meets science” and is full of articles that are wellness-inspired and backed by research. They also offer functional nutrition programs and online fitness courses. The information always has active links to the articles.

Speaking of Women’s Health

Speaking of women’s health tagline is Be Strong – Be Healthy – Be in Charge. Initially created by Holly Hacker MD (Cleveland Clinic), this column is grounded in evidence-based information. Not only does this column discuss women’s health issues, but it also discusses life, home and work issues that affect women on a daily basis.

The University of British Columbia Women’s Health Blog

This is a two-faceted blog with one line deeply embedded in research on women’s health and is presented by the researchers themselves to showcase their work. The second one is Q&A interview-style blogs on behind-the-scenes women’s health. This website really works for the entire women’s health experience and invites writers to pitch a blog for publication.

Healthline-Women’s Health

This has been a favorite of mine to share with clients and colleagues – the platform features so many aspects of health and wellness including a healthy dose of myth-busting to all of the evidence as well as the fads found in health remedies.
